Head Start Quality Improvement: Twelve Kits  

Quality Improvement Kits: Overview

Local Head Start programs are using a variety of methods for improving their quality. The Center provides training and informational materials in support of their efforts. Each Kit provides an easy-to-use, effective instrument for Head Start staff, administrators and parents to use to assess and improve the quality of the program in a specific subject area.  Each kit stands on its own, but is also designed to help you as you work to meet the provisions of the National Head Start Association's Quality Initiative System. Each Self-Assessment and Quality Improvement Kit will:

bulletProvide case studies, guidelines, and suggestions for making improvements
bulletInclude a library of tips and resources for enriching Head Start programming
bulletReduce the time spent on research and information collection so you can quickly begin development and implementation of desired activities.
