Policy Manager Two for Head Start is Windows-based software that helps you
edit, create and manage policies and procedures,
regulations, and program
area plans. You can use Policy Manager Two to create, edit, add, delete, find, link, track, and print
local policies & procedures, regulations, the results of your Federal onsite review, your corrective actions,
and program area plans.

The Policy Manager makes it easy to keep track of it all!
1) The Policy Manager is ... a Policies & Procedures Manager
The Policy Manager comes with 351 policies ready for your program to review, edit, and approve. These
are linked to their related performance standards, review questions, and
Federal regulations. Use the convenient Policy Template to draft new policies and procedures, and you can easily copy and paste text
from word processing applications right into the Policy Manager. It helps you keep track of each policy, with fields for approval dates, version numbers, and links to the
associated regulations.
2) The Policy Manager is ... a Regulations Tracker and a Complete Reference Library
Policy Manager Two has the complete text of the Performance Standards, the Head Start Act, and other

In the Regulations Section of Policy Manager, you can:
* View, edit, search, enter, print the text of the regulations.
* Search regulations by key word(s) in the regulation text or by program area.
* Search regulations by number(s), such as the CFR # (example: 1304.40).
* Select regulations by program area.
* See which regulations have policies associated with them.
* Add State, local, and other regulations to it.
3) The Policy Manager is ... an Instrument for Tracking the Results of Your Onsite
Review
The review questions from the current Federal review tool (FY 2010
Monitoring Protocol) are included in the Policy Manager. If your
program was reviewed and was found deficient in certain areas, you can indicate those areas in PM Two,
marking them as "action" items, and identify the action you will take. You can also cross-check the
links between the regulations, your written policies and procedures, your program area plans, and the results of
your review. This makes repair of deficiencies much easier to manage.
4) The Policy Manager is ... a Program Area Plan Template
Use the Policy Manager
to help write area plans with the convenient Plan Template. It is so easy to use, you will be generating plans and
reports in no time with Policy Manager Two!
Policy Manager Two comes with all of this – and more!
* Quick & Easy Searchability – within and between written documents.
* History for each policy and plan (so you can easily see when it was last updated.)
* Import and export data easily.
* User-friendly, with easy navigation.
With PM2, you can do your policies and procedures management, regulations reference, and
program area plans all in one place – on your computer!
To run Policy Manager Two, all you need is a computer that runs Windows ‘95, ‘98, 2000, XP,
